Acne Rosacea is This Really Acne

Acne rosacea is a skin condition similar to (but often confused with) acne.

Although persons who struggle with rosacea experience acne-like outbreaks, rosacea is really the swelling of red visible blood capillaries.

In fact these swollen red capillaries give rosacea its name. Rosa means red.

One of the early signs of acne rosacea is the tendency to flush easily. Then there’s a persistent redness in the centre of the face. But as time proceeds, however, this persistent redness spreads to the:

• Forehead

• Nose

• Cheek

• and Chin

As the rosacea progresses with time, it becomes more severe. The red blood capillaries, acne-like outbreak and red nodules under the skin become more noticeable and permanent.

Rosacea Treatment #3

Glycolic Acid Peels

These Chemical Peels are often used along with the antibiotics. And can be performed every 2 to 4 weeks.

Their purpose is to exfoliate the skin. The top layer of the dead skin cells are removed by the peel. And the healthy living cells replaces them.

Rosacea Treatment #4

Vascular Lasers treats the swollen blood capillaries.

Vascular lasers give out specific wavelengths of light. This light targets the tiny visible blood capillaries. Then heat builds up inside of the blood vessels causing them to collapse.

So does this form of acne rosacea treatment hurt?

Well old models of the laser did. But new innovations in the vascular lasers minimise pain as well as bruising. However, you may experience redness and slight swelling which last for 24 to 48 hours.

Your skin color is also important when using Vascular Lasers. Persons with darker skin are taking more of risk than lighter skin individuals.

It’s true.

That’s why it’s important that you only allow a qualified physician to use the laser on your skin.

If the laser is set too high for your skin type, you can end up with dark and white discolorations. White spots are permanent. So please be careful.

Although there’s a risk in using the vascular laser it is effective. So maybe you can think about using them.
